What Is Included in the Belek Buggy Safari, and What You Should Bring

The fare includes the round-trip hotel transfer, an instructor, the safety briefing, a test ride for every driver, insurance and a helmet, which is the only piece of kit provided. Left out of the fare: dust masks, goggles, bandanas, food, drinks and photos. Goggles can be bought at the base; everything else you bring yourself or go without.

Included in every fare

Every person taking part, driver or passenger, gets the same core package. Nothing on this list costs extra, and it stays the same whether you choose the short 18 km route or the long 28 km route.

Driver and passenger receive the same inclusions; only the fare differs. The person in the second seat also wears a helmet, sits through the same briefing and is covered by the same insurance, so nobody in the buggy is left outside the package.

The transfer covers Belek, Kadriye, Boğazkent, Lara, Kundu, Antalya, Muratpaşa, Konyaaltı, Side, Manavgat, Evrenseki, Kumköy, Çolaklı, Gündoğdu and Kızılot. If you are staying somewhere outside those areas, check with us over WhatsApp before booking rather than assuming a pickup.

  • Transfer from your hotel to the course and back again, from any of our 15 pickup areas
  • An instructor who runs the day and leads the group over the course
  • A safety briefing at the base before anyone sets off
  • A compulsory test ride for every driver
  • Insurance
  • A helmet

How the inclusions fit into the day

The transfer is what keeps the day simple. There are two sessions, morning and afternoon, and your pickup time is confirmed the day before, with the main entrance of your hotel as the meeting point. Belek, for example, has average pickups of 09:20 in the morning and 14:20 in the afternoon.

The course itself is in the Aspendos countryside on the land along the Köprüçay river, around 35–40 minutes from the Belek area, depending on the hotel. With the transfer, briefing and test ride counted in, the whole outing takes about 4–4.5 hours from hotel to hotel.

Why the briefing and test ride are part of the price

The briefing and the test ride are included because they decide how the day goes. The instructor first explains the course and the safety rules; then each driver takes the buggy for a compulsory test ride before the route begins.

Whoever completes the test ride drives. If the test ride does not go well, or you would prefer the second seat, you continue as a half-price passenger. Drivers must be 16 or older, and an ID shows the age. You do not need a driving licence, as the route is a private off-road course, not a public road.

Not included

The helmet is the only kit we hand over. Everything else you might want for comfort on a dusty route is your own choice.

This matters most for your face and eyes. Dust rises on the open stretches, so a covering for nose and mouth and something over your eyes make the ride more comfortable; you decide whether to bring your own or buy goggles at the base.

Photos and videos are not part of the fare either. The guide on photos and phones covers how to handle a phone on the course.

  • Dust mask: not included
  • Goggles: not included, but sold at the base
  • Bandana: not included
  • Food and drinks: not included
  • Photos and videos: not included

What to bring because of it

Because only the helmet is provided, packing well makes a real difference. The course mixes forest tracks, dusty open ground and shallow river sections, and mud appears when conditions allow, so expect to come back dirtier than you left. The what-to-wear guide goes through clothing in more detail.

Since the programme runs for about 4–4.5 hours and no food is part of it, eating at the hotel before pickup and carrying some water is sensible. Whatever you take along will meet dust and possibly a splash from the shallow river sections, so leave valuables you do not need at the hotel.

  • Closed shoes such as trainers; flip-flops and slippers are not recommended
  • Old or comfortable clothes that can get dirty; shorts and a T-shirt are fine, but avoid white
  • A bandana, scarf or your own mask if you want your nose and mouth covered
  • Your own sunglasses, or goggles bought at the base
  • Water and a snack if you want them, since food and drinks are not included
  • Euros for the fare, which is settled on the tour day

Price and payment

What you pay depends on your seat and the route. A buggy driver pays €35 for the 18 km route or €43 for the 28 km route; the passenger beside them pays €17.50 or €21.50. Halving the fare for the passenger is the sole reduction: nobody gets a free seat, children have no separate rate, and even a guest who just watches pays.

The fare is identical from each of the 15 transfer areas, so there is no transfer surcharge to add on top, whether you are collected in Konyaaltı, Kundu or Kızılot.

There is nothing to pay when you reserve: no card is taken and no deposit is asked for. Euros change hands on the morning or afternoon you ride, and a booking can be called off without charge provided at least 48 hours remain. Reservations online start from tomorrow; same-day requests go through WhatsApp, in Polish, English, Russian or German.

The tour is sold by Murat Atalay Travel Agency, TÜRSAB No. 11294.
