Two machines, one course

Buggy first. Quad if you prefer.

Both run the same course by the Köprüçay on the same day, as a short route of 18 km or a long route of 28 km. The buggy starts at €35 a driver, the quad at €30; whoever rides beside or behind you pays half.

Why a buggy

Two seats, a steering wheel and a river to cross

A buggy is the easiest way into off-road driving: you sit low behind a steering wheel, inside a steel cage, with someone you know in the seat next to you. If you can drive a car you will feel at home within the first few minutes.

The course is not in Belek. It lies inland in the Aspendos countryside, on the land along the Köprüçay, about 35–40 minutes from the Belek hotels: pine-shaded tracks, dusty open ground and shallow river sections you drive straight through.

Nobody drives until the briefing is done and the compulsory test ride is passed. Pass it and the wheel is yours; prefer not to and you ride beside the driver for half the fare. Then the convoy follows the guide, and you set your own pace inside it.

From your hotel and back

The day, in seven steps

From pickup to drop-off the day fills four to four and a half hours. Where your hotel falls on the collection run sets the exact clock, and you get your own time the day before.

  1. 01

    Collected at the gate

Morning or afternoon session. Wait at your hotel's main entrance on the Belek, Antalya or Side coast; the transfer then heads inland.

  2. 02

    Helmet and briefing

At the base you are fitted with a helmet and shown the controls. The helmet is the only protective item we hand out; if you want goggles, they can be bought at the base.

  3. 03

    The compulsory test ride

Every driver takes it, no exceptions. No driving licence is needed because this is a private off-road course, not a public road, and drivers are 16 or over.

  4. 04

    Driver or passenger

Pass the test ride and you drive. If the test does not go well, or the other seat simply appeals more, you come along as passenger for half the driver's fare.

  5. 05

    Forest and river

Behind the lead guide over pine tracks and through shallow sections of the Köprüçay, with open dusty ground in between.

  6. 06

Dust, and mud when it is there

Mud depends on the conditions of the day and is never guaranteed. Dust is. Wear clothes you will not miss and closed shoes.

  7. 07

    Back to your hotel

The convoy rolls back to base, you hand in the helmet, and the transfer drops you where it collected you.

Questions

What guests ask us before they book

How much does the buggy safari cost?
A buggy driver pays €35 for the 18 km route or €43 for the 28 km route, and the person beside them half of that. On a quad the driver pays €30 or €38. Everything is settled in euros once you are with us on the day.
How long is the whole trip?
The whole outing runs four to four and a half hours, counted from the moment we collect you until we drop you back. That span holds the drive out and back, the briefing and the test ride; where your hotel lies on the coast decides whether it is nearer four or four and a half.
Do I need a driving licence?
No. This is a private off-road course, not a public road, so a licence plays no part. What counts is age and skill: drivers are 16 or older, and nobody takes the wheel before passing the compulsory test ride at the base.
Who sits in the buggy with me?
The buggy has two seats side by side: the driver and one passenger. A younger passenger can ride with an adult driver. Children under 4 are not recommended because a small child can find it hard to hold on safely.
Can someone ride on the quad with me?
Yes: one passenger sits behind the driver, and on the quad that passenger has to be 8 or older. For children below 4 we advise against both machines.
Where does the safari actually take place?
Not in Belek itself. The course is in the Aspendos countryside on the land along the Köprüçay river, about 35–40 minutes from the Belek area depending on your hotel.
Is the hotel transfer included?
Yes, the round trip is included from Belek, Kadriye, Boğazkent, Lara, Kundu, Antalya, Muratpaşa, Konyaaltı, Side, Manavgat, Evrenseki, Kumköy, Çolaklı, Gündoğdu and Kızılot. Somewhere else? Ask us on WhatsApp before booking.
What is included and what is not?
In the price: the hotel transfer both ways, the instructor with briefing and test ride, insurance, and your helmet. Not in the price: dust masks, goggles or bandanas, anything to eat or drink, and photographs.
What should I wear?
Dress for dirt: an old T-shirt, shorts or trousers you will not mourn, and closed shoes that stay on your feet — sandals and flip-flops are a bad idea. A bandana, sunglasses, sunscreen and spare clothes for the ride home are worth packing.
How do payment and cancellation work?
Booking costs nothing and we never ask for card details. The fare is settled in euros with us on the day itself. Change of plans? Cancelling is free as long as it reaches us 48 hours or more before your departure.
