Belek Buggy Safari Guide: Course, Routes, Drivers, Fares and Booking

Guests staying in Belek book this buggy safari as an instructor-led outing over a private off-road course in the Aspendos countryside along the Köprüçay river, around 35–40 minutes from the Belek area depending on the hotel. You choose the short 18 km route or the long 28 km route; a driver pays €35 or €43 and the passenger alongside pays €17.50 or €21.50. The whole outing takes about 4–4.5 hours from hotel to hotel, with the transfer, instructor, test ride, insurance and a helmet included.

What the buggy safari is

It is a guided off-road outing in a two-seat buggy with a tubular frame. One person drives and one passenger sits alongside, so the buggy suits pairs who want to share the ride rather than follow each other on separate machines. An instructor leads the group over the course, and the day begins and ends at your hotel.

We also sell a quad on the same course as a second option. If you are weighing up the two machines, the buggy-or-quad guide puts them side by side; this page stays with the buggy.

Where the riding happens

Belek is where we pick you up, not where you ride. The course lies in the Aspendos countryside, on the land along the Köprüçay river, and the transfer takes around 35–40 minutes from the Belek area, depending on the hotel.

The ground mixes forest tracks, dusty open stretches and shallow river sections. Mud appears when conditions allow, but it is never guaranteed, so treat any splash as a bonus rather than part of the deal. The guide to where the course is describes the area in more detail.

Two routes on one course

Both routes use the same course and both are available on either machine. The short route is 18 km; the long route is 28 km and simply covers 10 km more of the same ground. It is not a different landscape, and the long one costs more.

If this is your first off-road ride, the short route is the smaller commitment; if you want more of the course, take the long one. The guide on choosing between short and long goes deeper into the decision.

  • Short route, 18 km: driver €35, passenger €17.50
  • Long route, 28 km: driver €43, passenger €21.50

How the day runs and where we collect you

The safari departs twice daily, with a morning session and an afternoon session. Your exact pickup time is confirmed the day before, and you wait at the main entrance of your hotel. On average, morning pickups are at 08:00 in Konyaaltı, 08:30 in Lara, 08:45 in Kundu, 09:00 in Kadriye, 09:20 in Belek and 09:35 in Boğazkent.

The average afternoon pickups are 13:00 in Konyaaltı, 13:30 in Lara, 13:45 in Kundu, 14:00 in Kadriye, 14:20 in Belek and 14:35 in Boğazkent.

At the base the instructor runs a safety briefing, after which each driver must complete a compulsory test ride before the route begins. Counting transfers, briefing and test ride, the programme lasts about 4–4.5 hours from hotel to hotel. The guide to the day walks through it step by step.

The round trip is included from 15 areas: Belek, Kadriye, Boğazkent, Lara, Kundu, Antalya, Muratpaşa, Konyaaltı, Side, Manavgat, Evrenseki, Kumköy, Çolaklı, Gündoğdu and Kızılot. For a hotel anywhere else, check with us on WhatsApp before you book.

Who can drive and who can ride

Drivers must be 16 or older, which includes 16- and 17-year-olds, and an ID document shows the age. No driving licence is needed, because the route is a private off-road course, not a public road. Whether you drive depends on the compulsory test ride: complete it and the wheel is yours; struggle with it, or simply prefer the other seat, and you ride as a half-price passenger.

In the buggy the passenger sits next to the driver, so a younger passenger can ride with an adult driver. On the quad, which we sell as the second option, the passenger sits behind and must be 8 or older. We do not recommend the safari for children under 4, because a small child can find it hard to hold on safely. It is also not recommended during pregnancy or for anyone with back or neck problems. The families, buggy passenger and safety guides cover these questions in more depth.

Fares, inclusions and booking

Fares are per person in euros. The passenger is charged half the driver's fare, and no other reduction exists: there is no free seat and no child rate, and someone who comes only to watch pays too.

Included in every fare: the round-trip hotel transfer, an instructor with the safety briefing and test ride, insurance and a helmet. We hand out no other piece of kit. You can buy goggles at the base; they do not come with the fare. The fare also leaves out food, drinks, photos, a dust mask and a bandana, so pack closed shoes and clothes that can take some dirt.

Booking costs nothing up front: no card, no deposit. You settle the fare in euros on the tour day itself, and you can call it off without a charge until 48 hours before the start. Online bookings run from tomorrow; for a same-day ride, ask us on WhatsApp, where we reply in German, English, Polish or Russian. The safari is sold by Murat Atalay Travel Agency, TÜRSAB No. 11294.
