Before the day: time, clothes and ID
We confirm your pickup time the day before, so keep your phone close the evening ahead. There are two sessions, morning and afternoon, and the time you receive belongs to the session you booked.
Dress for dirt. Old or comfortable clothes work best, and proper closed shoes matter; flip-flops and slippers are not recommended. Bring a bandana or scarf if you want to cover your face, because no dust mask is provided. Drivers should carry ID that shows their age, and it is worth having euros with you, since the fare is settled at the tour rather than online.
Bookings run from tomorrow onwards, so the earliest you can ride after reserving online is the next day.
Pickup at the main entrance
On safari day, stand by the hotel's main entrance when the confirmed time comes. Our transfer collects guests from 15 areas along the coast and brings you to the riding area, and the round trip is part of the fare.
Belek is where you are collected, not where you ride. The course lies in the Aspendos countryside, on the land beside the Köprüçay river. From the Belek area the drive takes around 35–40 minutes, depending on the hotel; from other areas it can be longer or shorter, and no figure has been measured for them.
At the base: helmet, briefing and test ride
When you arrive, everyone who is riding is fitted with a helmet. It is the only protective kit we hand out, so if you want goggles, they are on sale at the base.
Next comes the instructor's safety briefing. The test ride that follows is compulsory for each driver and works as a real check, not a box to tick. Pass it and you drive. Struggle with it, or find the passenger seat more to your taste, and you ride alongside someone else instead.
Drivers must be 16 or older. Nobody asks for a driving licence, because you ride on a private off-road course and never on a public road.
Out on the course
With the test ride done, the group sets off in convoy behind the guide. In the buggy the driver and passenger sit side by side inside the tubular frame, while a quad carries its passenger on the seat behind.
Expect a proper off-road ride, not a tidy road drive. The course mixes forest tracks, dusty open ground and shallow river sections. Mud appears when conditions allow, but it is never guaranteed, and the same goes for water levels and splashes. Expect to finish dusty.
The short route covers 18 km of this terrain and the long route 28 km; it is the same course, and the long one simply goes 10 km further.
The ride back and the overall timing
After the ride, the same transfer returns you to the hotel. Counting from pickup to drop-off, the whole programme lasts about 4–4.5 hours, transfer, briefing and test ride included. Exact timings vary with where your hotel is.
Food and drinks are not included, so eat before you set off. Photos and videos are not part of the package either; if you want pictures to take home, plan your own.
Who should think twice
Pregnant guests and people with back or neck trouble are better off skipping the ride, which we do not recommend for them. It is also not recommended for children under 4, as a small child can find it hard to hold on safely. On the quad, passengers need to be 8 or older; in the buggy a younger passenger can sit next to an adult driver.
Hotels outside our 15 transfer areas, same-day requests and any other questions go through WhatsApp, and replies come in English, German, Russian or Polish.
