One buggy, two seats next to each other
The buggy is built for two people sitting side by side, so when you share one you spend the whole course shoulder to shoulder, with nobody perched behind anybody. Talking, pointing things out and laughing at the same bend all come naturally, and meanwhile the person in the passenger seat keeps both hands for holding on and looking around.
On a quad the passenger rides behind the driver, which makes it a different kind of outing for two. If sitting together matters to you, that seating alone is a good reason to pick the buggy; our comparison of buggy and quad covers the remaining differences.
What a couple pays
Both of you pay, because everyone who takes part has a fare. Whoever drives is charged the driver's price, and half of that is due for the seat alongside. This passenger half is the one reduction on offer, and there is no free seat for a partner; the same rule covers someone who would rather come along just to watch.
Nothing is charged when you reserve. Payment happens in euros once the tour date arrives, and if you take two buggies, each of you simply pays the driver's fare for the route you chose.
- Short route (18 km), one shared buggy: driver €35, passenger €17.50
- Long route (28 km), one shared buggy: driver €43, passenger €21.50
- Two buggies on the short route: €35 for each driver
- Two buggies on the long route: €43 for each driver
Deciding who takes the wheel
Anyone aged 16 or over can drive, and an ID shows the age. No driving licence is needed, because the route is a private off-road course, not a public road. Before the start, though, each driver has to complete the compulsory test ride, and it is a real assessment rather than a box to tick.
If you share a buggy, it helps to agree between you beforehand which of you would like to drive, and to tell us when you book whether you want one buggy or two. If you both want to steer, book two: each of you then takes the test ride, and whoever completes it drives their own machine. A partner who does not get through the test ride, or who changes their mind, rides as a half-price passenger instead.
Short or long route for two
Both routes run on the same course in the Aspendos countryside, on the land along the Köprüçay river: forest tracks, dusty open ground and shallow river sections, with mud when conditions allow, though it is never guaranteed. The short route is 18 km and the long route is 28 km, so the long one adds 10 km more of the same terrain and costs more.
If one of you is new to off-road driving or a little uneasy about it, the short route keeps the outing compact. If you are both keen and want to see more of the course, the long route is the natural choice.
Morning or afternoon session
You can pick between a morning session and an afternoon session; whichever you choose, the programme takes about 4–4.5 hours from hotel to hotel, with the transfer, the briefing and the test ride included. From the Belek area the drive to the course takes around 35–40 minutes, depending on the hotel.
For hotels in Belek the average pickup is 09:20 in the morning and 14:20 in the afternoon. Your own time is confirmed the day before, and you wait for the vehicle at the main entrance of your hotel. A morning ride leaves the rest of the day for the beach or the pool; an afternoon ride lets you take your time over breakfast first.
Before you reserve
Reserving costs nothing and needs no card or deposit. Should your plans change, you can cancel without charge as long as at least 48 hours remain before the start. Online bookings open from tomorrow onwards; for a same-day ride, a WhatsApp message is the way to find out whether it can still be arranged.
The safari is not recommended during pregnancy or for anyone with back or neck problems, and that applies to the passenger seat as well as the driver's. If either of you is affected, let us know before booking. Round-trip transfer is included from 15 areas along the coast, among them Belek, Kadriye, Boğazkent, Lara, Kundu, Antalya and Konyaaltı, and you can write to us in English, Polish, German or Russian.
